Duobox vs Microsoft 365
Duobox

Your company's email without an annual contract

This page is for anyone who opened Microsoft 365's page looking for email with their company's name and came out with an annual subscription to Teams, OneDrive and Office. We read the prices on Microsoft's official website on 26 October 2026.

If what you were after was name@yourcompany.com, there's a way to have it today without signing up for a year and without paying for the first person.

Your first inbox is free

With Duobox you start without paying: 1 person, 1 inbox, 1 domain and 10 GB, no card and no time limit. It's not a one-month trial: it's the plan, and it stays that way as long as you're one person.

A company starts with what a company is: someone, a name and an address. When you add a second person, each one is $2 a month, paid month to month. With Microsoft 365, the first person is already $7 a month committed for a year, or $8.40 month to month.

In one line

Duobox

Duobox is your company's email: personal and shared inboxes on your domain, and an agent that can work them with the permissions you choose.

Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's office suite: Outlook and Exchange, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, OneDrive and Copilot, in a single package.

Why Duobox

  • You start free

No card and no contract. Create the account, connect your domain and send the first email from your address.

  • Month to month, for real

Hire someone for three months, pay for three months. Wrap up a project, remove the person, done.

  • Your agent, not the one that comes in the box

Copilot is Microsoft's agent. In Duobox you plug in the one you already use —Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor— by pasting https://mcp.duobox.io/v1/mcp and signing in with your account. Before you connect it, you see every permission: read, leave drafts, send, manage. Remove the ones you don't want.

  • No IT person needed to set it up

Connect the domain, create sales@, invite your team. No licenses to assign and no admin roles to learn.

  • One person, up to 10 inboxes

sales@, billing@ and your own, with no extra licenses.

  • It lives alongside what you have

If you already have Outlook on your domain, you don't touch it: the new inbox lives next door, on a subdomain. And if you want to move, your old email imports from Outlook.

  • In English, Spanish and Portuguese

Written by people, not translated by a machine.

When to choose each one

Duobox

Choose Duobox if you need your company's email on your domain, you want to start without paying and without signing up for a year, you have shared inboxes, and you want the agent you already use to be able to work in that email with permissions you can see.

Choose Microsoft 365 if your team already works in Office and Teams all day, or you have someone who manages IT.

Or both: Outlook for what you already have, and Duobox for the shared inboxes or your agent's inbox, on a subdomain. No migration.

Questions we get

Is the first inbox free forever?
Yes, as long as you're one person with one inbox and 10 GB. You only pay once you add someone, a second inbox or more storage.
Can I use Outlook to open Duobox?
Yes, like any IMAP account, with your address and your password.
Can I bring my old email over from Outlook?
Yes, it imports in one pass.
Is it secure?
Sign-in has two-step verification with an authenticator app, and the agent gets in through OAuth: you never give it your password.
